"My wedding photos lived up in the attic for several years, almost couple of decades! Even if the photos have managed to remain intact, meaning that they were not torn or burned nor my ex-husband cut or blotted out , I seldom think about that day and the date usually passes by without harking back on the ‘would have been’ significance of the day. It did not turn out to be my ‘ever after’, but without that occasion I would not have my darling daughter and my gorgeous grandson, I would not have met my ex-husband’s lovely family and quite possibly I would not work or live in UK – basically I would not have this, often far from perfect life but life, which I know as mine.  "
